Job description

As a Data Scientist, you will have an excellent academic record, having gained your Master’s or PhD in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Psychics, Mathematics or Economics. Before starting at ColdAxom, you will have spent at least three years honing these skills in a professional setting. You will work as a part of an integrated team, combining your deep familiarity with statistical and data-mining techniques with a knowledge of machine learning frameworks, and a fluency in programming languages such as R, Python, Scale and SQL to find data-driven, creative solutions to our client’s problems. You will be an enthusiastic collaborator, able to condense your data insights into visual and verbal presentation for ColdAxom’s colleagues from different disciplines, as well as key project stakeholders.

What we need

  • A Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Psychics, Mathematics or Economics. A PhD is an advantage
  • 3+ years’ professional experience in business analytics or similar at a market leading organisation
  • Experience with with statistical and data-mining techniques, and working with large and relational databases
  • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks
  • Fluency in Python
  • A track record of analyzing data and identifying causes and solutions to recommend solutions
  • Demonstrable leadership potential
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express complex ideas effectively
  • A team player, able to collaborate with people at all levels of an organization
